Already Considering a Mod....

Anyone else thinking that this is a marriage made in heaven?

If I just knew the length of the bowden, I could place a pre-order.....

That battery confused the hell out of me! I'd be more curious to see how that performs on a Creality-class printer.

Given the majority of the concerns I’ve “heard” with the Mini so far have to do with the bowden aspect, having the option of a vey lightweight, direct drive extruder could be very interesting for some folks. Especially for those printing flex; there seems to be quite a bit of doubt that it’ll go well given the bowden.

time will tell.

The mmu1 was bowden

Every delta printer i know of is bowden as are all ender3,s

If tpu was a big problem they would be unpopular

I doubt that the Nimble would be better than the bowden.

You might have the filament drive as direct drive but the connection between motor and drive gears I think will have some play where you can't get a good drive of the filament.

Maybe for longer bowden it is an option but for the short bowden path on the MINI I don't think it might improve much.

I'm not sure it will help the Mini, but a lot of the inexpensive bowden-style printers are saddled with heavy hotends, negating one big plus of the bowden approach. Would be curious to see if a cheap printer might see some performance benefits with a "proper" light hotend. The Prusa Mini design already looks pretty lightweight.
