Is there supposed to be this much play in the X-axis?

Hi, so I bought a used Mini+ on eBay a few months ago and it had a lot of stringing issues. I got it for really cheap as the previous owner had used it in a farm so it has a lot of hours on it. I've recently got around to giving it a refurb and I've cleaned out the extruder, swapped the bearing that the filament runs over, lubricated etc. So the next task is the print head. The part fan was very loud so I need to replace that, and also I have a new heater block, nozzle and hotend fan coming direct from Prusa, it will almost be an entirely new assembly barring the heatsink which is still absolutely fine.

Anyway while I was working on it last night I noticed the X-axis has quite a bit of play in it when you twist it. Is this normal for these or is there something else I need to investigate?
