Help identifying problem with a print

Can you look at a print I am making on a prusa using overture petg. It seems to make an imprint or go bad only in the top right hand corner.

this is consistent on multiple prints in the same spot.

what is the cause of this?

I changed the z layer to make it closer and it seems to still have this problem in the corner.

RE: Help identifying problem with a print

Hi Max,

If instead of printing the piece in the center of the bed, you print it on one edge, does it do the same for you?

Verify that the printing base is clean, especially in textured sheets, the same grease from the fingers makes the material not stick.

Try cleaning the bed, isopropyl alcohol (IPA). In some cases, they recommend cleaning the sheet with warm water and detergent with a non-scratch sponge.

There may be an oil spot on the print sheet causing poor adhesion just in that position.  Try cleaning it.

And clean it with hot water and additive free dish washing soap, not just IPA.

Thank you for the suggestions.

I spread the print across the plate. I also cleaned the plate and flipped it. If you study the photo below, you can see the bottom right print is perfect. Top left is perfect. Other prints on the plate all have some defects. Is there a reason why some areas have less problems than others?

hotend loose?

filament feeder?

something else?

or is this normal behavior?

Please save your project as a .3mf file

Files > Save Project as

Zip the .3mf and post it here. It will contain both your part and your settings for us to diagnose.

Cheerio,
