Frustrating Layer shift on print
I've been trying to print the attached knob and have been getting the layer shift shown in the photo. I've printed this successfully, before upgrading the printer to a 4S and under an earlier slicer version, without problems. This time I increased perimeters to 7 to give more strength around the screw hole, but made no other changes.
Any thoughts on how to prevent the layer shifts?
Thanks

It's hard to tell from the picture but it looks like the shift occurred about the level of the start of the locator on the underside of the top - its possible that this was/is poorly supported and tipped to interfere with the head-travel. Your filament is a little damp which won't help.
Consider designing a custom support for this area - say, two narrow towers with a single-layer bridge between them to support the start of the freely floating locator - it will be easy to snap away the support after printing.
Cheerio,

I finally was able to revisit this problem. I checked belt tensions with the belt tuner and actually found both the X and Y axis belts to be a bit too tight, so I fixed that and I lubed the X-axis rods lightly with Prusa's grease (the printer had set for at least couple of months unused). I ran the print again this afternoon and it came out perfect.
