Custom Filament Settings - Warning before Printing

Hi,

With the recent new update, custom filament settings were added to the printer. I created one for my TPU. Now i have a custom slicer setting for this material, and the type is set to "FLEX". When I upload the G Code, I get a warning message: Filament is not the type loaded. How to avoid this Warning?

Is it a bug?

Thanks

Thank you Diem for your reply, but you are completly off topic. Humid filament has nothing todo with software warnings.

I have solved the issue via github: https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy/issues/4464

Warning also appears before uploading

RE: Custom Filament Settings - Warning before Printing

the printer has a limited list of filaments, so can't match all types,

I also find that BVOH and PVA are missing on my mk3.9

The issue is not that i cannot map TPU as a material, only FLEX. I use FLEX.

The issue is the warning, since when i upload the g code and the filament is set to 'flex', the printer requires confirmation to continue. I do not want to be physically present to confirm at the printer.

Hence the question, again: how to avoid this warning? In slicer, FLEX is selected. On my printer, it is a User profile material, with custom temperatures. I cannot change the material type on the printer filament profile to FLEX or anything else.

TLDR: Warning says mismatch, but i cannot match setteings.

This is usually a mistake unless you are using an active drybox and delivery tubes to the print head  - TPE's absorb moisture so fast that the only sensible mode of operation is load and print immediately - leaving a printer loaded and starting later is a recipe for problem stringing.

Cheerio,

RE:

The filament type pull-down in PrusaSlicer does allow you to type in anything you want, not just select from the pulldown options. Try changing the filament type setting in your PrusaSlicer filament profile to the user name that you made for the in-printer filament type.

Oops... I just checked the github issue and saw that my solution is the suggested solution there. Sorry for the noise.

You are correct in one sense - but it remains a misake to delay the start of printing with hygroscopic filaments so using the function in this case will reduce your print quality.
