MK4S USB issues
Hi folks, I am wondering if anyone experienced similar issues:
my MK4S (FW 6.1.4) for some reason stopped reading usb drives. Flash drive that was originally plugged into the printer is not readable on my Mac/PC. New FAT formatted drive is not readable by PRUSA. Following steps from PRUSA helpdesk I checked wires, USB socket etc. They decided to send me a new LCD. When it arrived I swapped the original one with the new one and everything was fine for about a week. Now same story has happened. Printer stopped reading USB drives (any). The original USB which was shipped along with new (replacement) LCD from PRUSA is not readable on my computers. I use Prusa Connect (I send files directly from the Prusa slicer ob my Mac to Prusa connect) so I didn’t touch USB since I had a new LCD installed. I am super confused and disappointed with my new printer. Any ideas?

Hi Michael,
I had similar problem now. Files from original Prusa USB drive disappeared and the drive was not writeable for the printer.
On my Mac it was not readable. So I have formatted it as MS-DOS (FAT) and now it works again. I have also copied newer FW 6.2.0 and updated it successfully.

This may be a different problem: the prusa mem sticks are known for ceasing to work. I had multiple problems like files disappearing, complete blank content, etc I did buy a decent quality memory stick and since then no problems anymore. If the display doesn't read ANY memory stick anymore, sounds more like a fried electronics. Do you experience static discharges when you touch the printer? In winter it happens a lot in dry air...
I get zapped all the times so I started touching metal frames before going near the my printer...
