prusamnet rules

Can someone direct me on where to find the exact rules of the contests, I mean the specific rules for each method of collecting points, it seems that the ones I have always read here are not clear enough (for me).

Dear user,we have noted your request to receive a voucher in exchange for Prusameters. However, we could not approve your request due to one (or more) of the reasons listed below. This decision is final and Prusameters will not be refunded to you. Before exchanging Prusameters for a voucher again, please first correct all potentially problematic issues on your account.

- Uploading a photo (make) of a print that is not your work. NO

- The vast majority of the models on the profile are not your work. NO

- Duplicate model uploads. NO

- Uploading the same photo to several different models. NO

- Uploading irrelevant photos of prints. NO

- Uploading models or prints for which the user receives Prusameters and then deletes these objects. NO

- Liking or downloading models by users who have activity mostly related to your models. MAYBE i asked friends and coworker to do so

- Creating and owning multiple user accounts that are used to get likes or downloads of your models. NO

- Deliberate splitting of one designer's work into multiple separate models. NO

- Deliberate selection and printing of tiny models that are then uploaded as prints. YES

Printables Team

rule: Upload a makeup to 10 makes per calendar month

where is it written that makes can not be presented except for models that are not tiny/small?

RE: prusamnet rules

I can't speak for the Prusa folks but posting a dozen tiny prints per day… if that doesn't sound like trying to cheat the system, I don't know what.

I also saw https://www.reddit.com/r/prusa3d/comments/x7ei9b/the_people_behind_prusameter_verification_are/. Nothing to add to what was said there.

People trying to game the system, getting caught and not receiving their price ... now complaining about it and inquiring the help in cheating the system from the people who can enjoy a sh**ier model repository because of those cheaters.

You couldn't make it up.

If printing small pieces is considered to cheat the system then write it clearly and also write what one should print in order to participate correctly in these magnificent contests.

In any case you are right, I got carried away by the contests and by the possibility of receiving three reels almost for free.

Will I be punished for life or do I still have a hope that when I reach enough points I will finally be able to use them without problems?

RE:

You knew you were trying to game the system with actions that were detrimental to the printables.com platform, Prusa knew and we know. Luckily there is this paragraph for exactly those cases:

3.6. The acquisition of PRUSAMETRES and the conditions of their exchange for rewards are within the exclusive competence of the Operator. By participating in the PRUSAMETRES programme or using the PRINTABLES services, the user is not entitled to be credited any PRUSAMETRES or to exchange it for a discount voucher or Goods.

You have no legal entitlement to either Prusameters or exchange for goods or vouchers. It is totally up to Prusa to make the call. Now this could be potentially abused by Prusa itself but so far the only people complaning are those who tried to game the system so they are apparently playing it fair.

@argirob I believe you got the whole thing wrong. It is not a contest! It is meant as a reward for people helping to make printables.com better. To complain because you got caught trying to cheat the system is one thing, but asking for the exact rules (even though you got them - you posted them!) so you can try again is really something...

Seriously, do you really not understand how it's meant to work?

If you want to compete in a contest: https://www.printables.com/contest

Let's hope this was just naïveté and the OP will be doing the right thing from now on. I'm willing to give him the benefit of doubt.

But am I surprised that people are trying to cheat the system? Of course not, that's the world we're in. Just go to any CAD subreddit and see how many times folks are asking others to solve their course homework assignment for them.

RE: prusamnet rules

@all Perhaps I have not explained myself well: I have not asked what the rules are, I know them and I have respected them all except that of not printing small models that I repeat, it is not expressly written.

Upload a make up to 10 makes per calendar month

not

Upload a make up to 10 makes per calendar month (tiny models are not allowed) or similar

@robin As you can see I have participated in almost all the contests and I have published over 150 models here, I think I have also contributed to improving the site.

@fuchsr thanks

I'm willing to give him the benefit of doubt.

RE:

You still fail to understand. If you follow the rules AND their intent, you'll get your rewards, many people already have. If you are trying to exploit loopholes, knowing well that what you are doing is against the intent of the system, you'll end up with nothing because in the end it is Prusa which is calling the shots and the legal terms make that crystal clear. And they don't owe you anything in any case.

So far you seem still intent on the latter which is a pity.

PS: I post you the one key term again as you seem to have missed it

I repeat once again: where it says that small pieces should not be printed and published as make?

I understood that prusa always has the last word on everything, I am able to read, and understand what I read even if I am not a native English speaker.

RE: prusamnet rules

It doesn't say so specifically but if you think hard about it, you'd know that this is not the way it is intented to be done. As Prusa has the last word as you know, they have the ability to deny usage exploits which stick to the letter of the guidelines but are clearly against their intent and against the interests for a better 3D repository experience.

If you find that wrong. Tough. Most others don't and are actually quite happy about exploits being turned down.

RE: prusamnet rules

I honestly did not think it was penalized to always print small objects, it is obvious that I did it to save time and filament and earn easy points. I have never asked and will never ask to have back the points that I "stole" by printing small pieces, I will regain them with the hope of not seeing them canceled again.

I realized it

Welcome to the group of the punished, I have been the object of punishment because I have reported how easy it was to pass a photo of another site as my make, I did it by putting a fake make on my profile, -50 prusameters

1+1=10 - take a look at my disgusting and useless models

RE: prusamnet rules

In fact, it seems that to enter the competition, not being a designer, the only way to gain points is to make at least 10 prints a month, I wonder what to print because I noticed that the first 10 pages of new models posted on the site are actually prints for a few minutes and almost perfectly useless.

Competition? What competition? This is not a competition. It's an award system Prusa implemented to get more models on their site. Actually, because the only way to get serious prusametes is to publish models users actually like, download, and print, I'm sure they also wanted to encourage the posting of *better* models.

Alas,  no good deal goes unpunished, and yes we're seeing the beginning of the thingiversification of Peintables—  plenty of stupid crap. Why? Not sure. Maybe people don't understand that without lots of downloads, likes and makes your pusameter earning potential is marginal.

Ok it's not a competition.

I don't understand, however, why you say that they rewards those who publish when only the first 10 models ever are rewarded while those who print are rewarded monthly.

Maybe I have an answer .....
