Prusa Forum Guidelines and rules.

Hello all;

So after some time (years) I figured its time to post the rules of the forum here. Nothing has happen recently for me to post them, but I always try and enforce them, but it's not so easy when they are not posted here.

Now these are pretty short and simple, but I am going to turn off comments on this and create a separate post for people to comment as I would like to keep this clean.

These rules are not written in stone and subject to change. If there are changes, I will make a additional post notifying the community of these changes.

1. Be Respectful
  1. Treat everyone with kindness - no insults, harassment, or discrimination.
  2. Debate ideas, not people.
  3. Assume good intentions, especially with new users.
  4. When in doubt, please refer to the “Bill and Ted” movies from the 90’s and live by the code of Wild Stallions; “Be excellent to each other”
2. Ask for Help the Right WayWhen posting a support question, please include:
  1. Printer model & firmware
  2. Filament type & brand
  3. Slicer and version
  4. Print settings (temperature, speed, layer height, etc.)
  5. Photos or videos of the issue
  6. What you’ve tried already
  7. Export the file you are working on as a .3MF, zip it and include it in the post.
If you need further information, please read this post.
https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/english-forum-general-discussion-announcements-and-releases/we-want-to-help-you-you-have-to-tell-us/ Following these steps will help others help you faster.
3. Share Knowledge
  1. Share tips, print profiles, or successful prints!
  2. If you solve your own issue, post the fix and mark your post as solved so others can learn.
4. Be Thoughtful With What You Post
  1. No NSFW, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content.
  2. No politics, religion, “isms” (racism, sexism, etc, etc)
  3. No outright product / flame wars
  4. No weapon files or prints unless clearly legal, safe, and allowed by moderators.
  5. NO “For Sale” posts at all. If you want to sell something, please post it elsewhere.
5. No Spam or Unapproved Self-Promotion
  1. Don’t post affiliate links, sales pitches, or unrelated content.
  2. No unsolicited DMs or promotions.
  3. No heavy self promotion.
6. Respect IP and Copyright
  1. Give credit when showcasing someone else’s design or remix.
  2. Do not share paid STLs or private files without permission.
  3. Remixers: always link or refer to the original model if available.
7. Respect Mods & Report Issues
  1. Mods are here to maintain safety and organization.
  2. Follow their guidance. If you have an issue, use DMs or report - not public drama.
  3. Repeated or serious violations can result in timeouts or bans.
8. Have Fun, Learn, and Make Cool Stuff!
  1. We're all learning - encourage others and celebrate the wins (big or small).
  2. Post your prints, projects, fails, and experiments - we love it all!\

If you have any questions on these, please feel free to reach out to myself, Tommy, or one of the moderators.

For Violations, it is up to the moderation and admin team, and how they will be handled after review.

First time violation
- private DM notification

Second time violation
- corrective action within the forum (removal of post) and a public warning.

Third time violation, OR in the event of a major offense, user is removed from the forums.
