Larger bed size

I have a very large custom cartesian printer but I can't find a Slicer that lets me make use of it's 1500 x 1000 x 1800mm build volume. Any chance you could add this to Prusa Slicer? Or suggest a Slicer that can.

RE: Larger bed size

This is a user to user forum.  The devs don't really hang out here.  Official requests and bug reports need to be made at the Prusa Slicer github.  However don't bother opening one there as one already exists  https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/6072

Super Slicer which is a fork of PS supports larger bed sizes.  However the last stable version is based on PS2.4 though.  Theres a experimental based on PS2.5 but the project looks like its not really active any more.  At least from developer activity.

The current workaround for larger printers seems to be to configure the firmware itself with a scaling factor.  Such that when told to move 0.001mm it moves 0.01 instead.  That way you can slice everything at 1/10th the size and it prints out correctly.  The theory that printers using such large beds probably use large nozzles anyway and so don't really require the precision that the slicer has.

Thanks Neo 🙂 I have a Prusa MK3S and a MMM2 so I am use to the Prusa Slicer. That is why I posted here.

I just wanted to put a bug in the Prusa devs ear for the future.

Thanks again,

Dave
