Filament dragging over base layers
Can anyone help explain why I have recently been getting a recurring problem with filament lifting off the base layer while printing flat sheet. See images. It seems that the nozzle is collecting filament and then it all goes wrong. I didn't have this with the previous SLICER versions but I don't see how that would be connected
. I have been using Prusament PETG - I changed to a new roll - the white one in the image - but that was no better. The blue one had been dried for four hours.
Any advice would be appreciated.
PS: the hotend and nozzle are relatively new - perhaps 10 hours completed.
RE: Filament dragging over base layers
It does look a lot like wet filament to me. Even in the areas where the filament is not torn up, you see those little dimples which might be the result of vapor bubbles. At what temperature have you been drying the filament?
