Filament dragging over base layers
Can anyone help explain why I have recently been getting a recurring problem with filament lifting off the base layer while printing flat sheet. See images. It seems that the nozzle is collecting filament and then it all goes wrong. I didn't have this with the previous SLICER versions but I don't see how that would be connected
. I have been using Prusament PETG - I changed to a new roll - the white one in the image - but that was no better. The blue one had been dried for four hours.
Any advice would be appreciated.
PS: the hotend and nozzle are relatively new - perhaps 10 hours completed.

It does look a lot like wet filament to me. Even in the areas where the filament is not torn up, you see those little dimples which might be the result of vapor bubbles. At what temperature have you been drying the filament?

Thank you for your answer. I have been using a Creality drier set for PETG which is 60 degrees. I was surprised when I changed to the white PETG which is new from Prusa. It always seems to be around the longest sweeps; the corners are much better.

It's a common misconception that pulling filament from a vacuum sealed bag is going to be dry. Give you an example, this was a before and after (drying for 8 hrs) from a brand new roll of Prusament PC-CF initially printed straight from the vacuum sealed bag. The filament was only 3 months old (from time of manufacture to time of print).

Ah, so perhaps my check was not good! Thank you. I will dry both rolls for much longer.
