RE: DO NOT BUY FOR FIRST TIME PRINTERS
@wburn,
Posting with a title in all caps does not exactly signal a good intention, but that aside...
Since Prusa is always compared to Bambu, look at this page: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/troubleshooting/nozzle-clog. Why would they have such a page? Apparently because Bambu's, often considered the benchmark in appliance-like ease-of-use, experience clogs too. It's the current state of 3d printing technology and can happen to any printer of any brand at any moment with any filament. They are all pushing soft plastic through a 0.4 mm orifice and Murphy's law applies. Warning people to not buy a Prusa Core One because of a nozzle clog is a bit like warning people to not buy a Skoda because you had a flat tire after only 3 weeks of driving. Consider yourself unlucky because it happened so early on.
3d-printing offers ample amounts of both satisfaction and frustration.

RE: DO NOT BUY FOR FIRST TIME PRINTERS
We run three Bambu printers at work. Rest assured that we've had some problems that would make the average user put a few sticks of dynamite under one and launch it into space. We actually junked one and replaced it because that was faster and more straightforward than fixing it. Now, that said, the new PS2 is extremely good. Given the current price, the only way I could recommend a Prusa instead is if the person had a problem with the Bambu ecosystem and cloud-based direction. (BTW, that would be me!) In terms of features, the PS2 is well ahead of Prusa's offerings. I say that as an extreme Prusa fanboy and hope that Prusa has more in the works than we presently know about.

This is so true. My H2D also comes with an optional heatsink fan for PLA and PETG to help mitigate nozzle clogs due to heat creep. EVERY printer has this issue.
RE: DO NOT BUY FOR FIRST TIME PRINTERS
Perhaps the bigger concern is a matter of a consumer setting expectations via a manufacturer's marketing materials.
Although I, like many on this forum, have had enough experience to know that any fdm printer requires skill to run and troubleshoot, marketing media seldom portrays that reality. Instead, they show how much better things are now than previous years' models. And in that regard, I'm happy to be able to start a print without being stuck at the printer for the entire first layer... Most of the time.
