Adjust Z Offset in GCode?
I switched filaments and found that I had to redo the Z offset (first layer calibration). Is there a way in GCode to set the offset if I know I am using a filament that requires a different Z offset value? I would send this GCode at the start of the print.
Much better to define a custom print sheet.
So: as well as 'Sheet 1' for regular use you could calibrate the same sheet and name it 'Sheet 1 woodfill' or whatever suits you.
Then it's just a matter of selecting the sheet profile as part of the start new print routine.

yes.. the MK3 can handle 3 sheets in its firmware.. you select via the LCD screen.. I have rough/smooth and they have 0.3 difference between them in Z. You have to be careful because if you forget to set the right sheet, your nozzle will dig into one of the boards when you get it wrong. But I agree with Diem.. use the custom sheet in the menu.
