PrusaConnect print jobs display error
Printer: MK4
Printer Firmware: 6.0.0+14794
Printer UUID: 43eb7239-4005-4b5b-915f-a733e27e6d2a
PrusaSlicer version: 2.7.4
All of today's print jobs show up as "Print job #X", with no image, used filament amount, print settings, etc. Only print time (start, end, duration), state, and telemetry are shown. Some of today's files are sliced with PrusaSlicer, some are not.
All previous print jobs before today display fine.
Printer files tabs work normally, showing all relevant info regarding gcode/bgcode files.
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
I'm having the same issue.

Me too, this is really frustrating since I have a 30-job queue and this makes it difficult to see what jobs are running, completed and next.

Actually, it is even worse, at least for me - it seems with this "Print Job #" actual print from the Queue is not deleted, so if you print and then set printer ready, you will be printing the same thing again.
I found that only after 2 days of printing similar parts (not identical), I actually printed the same file all over for the last 2 days, and now I hope I will have enough material to finish all my parts 🙁
Such bugs are unacceptable.
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
...and magically today the display of the name file name is working properly.
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
Did you restart your printer or start a new queue? My queue is still corrupt, same as @Burve
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
Mine is still broken
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
I did restart my printer, but that didn't fix it. I'm honestly unsure what happened. I just know it's working again.
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
I chatted with support and they acknowledged that Connect was impacted by some maintenance. Apparently you just need to clear the queue and re-add the files. I've done that and will see if it's fixed after the current "Job #30" finishes.
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
Hmm, that looks like problem with communication between Printer and Connect. Communication should be resistant to any known problems, but you found new one 🙁
Please @mayty, could you send us more information about:
- What you print (name of print file)
- count of files on your USB
- list files of your USB
Printer has problem with sending JOB_INFO about your print file, don't know why. Typical problem should be bad encoding in file name, corrupted FAT system on USB, or something like that.
Please send it to our support. We try to find more information what happen.
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
I'm having the same problem with my XL. Just started yesterday. Do you want similar information from other users?
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
Clearing the queue and re-adding all the files did not fix the problem. I'm on to "Print job #32". In case the file information helps:
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
@mcbig, I've sent the requested info to [email protected]
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
I checked and found I had about 1.35GB of files (mostly bgcode) on my active USB. I moved a number of archival files to a backup USB drive so the active USB now has about 300MB. I reset my printer and started a new print. Connect now shows the file name that is printing, not just Job Number xx. The three prints that only reported Job Number still just show the Job Number in the Print History area. If it is lost forever, it is no big deal. No idea which, if any, of the things I did had an effect.
RE:
I've been experiencing the same problem.
- Job shows up as "Print job #xx", no details which used to show in older jobs (preview thumbnail, printer type, material, layer height...), and size is displayed at "0 b".
- When multiple jobs are enqueued, and a job starts, it is not dequeued, so the next job, once the current one finishes and the printer is marked as ready, will print the same file.
It started happening on May 3rd, in the middle of a printing session.
For the record, though I think it's not related, I upgraded the printer's firmware to 6.0.0+14794 (from some 5.x version) on 2024-05-03 around 14:00, so I had two more jobs that displayed properly after the upgrade, before the bug started manifesting.
The current job, which I sent to the printer from PrusaSlicer 2.7.2+MacOS-arm64, displays the same issues:
I'll try clearing my queue and see if it fixes anything.
(By the way, I remember having the option to "upload and enqueue" in PrusaSlicer. Is that gone?)
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
I'll try clearing my queue and see if it fixes anything.
Update: I cleared the queue and started a new print job directly from the printer.
Prusa Connect shows the same issue.
RE: PrusaConnect print jobs display error
Glad it's not me or my equipment, I hope they figure it out soon.
RE:
For the record, restarting the printer and PrusaSlicer did not help either.
