PrusaConnect keeps showing OFFLINE and other connection issues

I'm just about to go back to using a memory stick, because this is frankly hopeless. It used to work tolerably well using the wired LAN connection, but because it wasn't always powered up, I'd find that it wouldn't connect because the IP address keeps changing. Why can't we have a static IP address for this, it would be so much more reliable, rather than having to keep going into the settings and changing the IP address?

This had got so painful that I decided to use WiFi instead. That seemed to work ok for a while, but now I'm getting OFFLINE status showing all the time, and I'm having to keep turning off the printer and waiting, then trying again to see it it will finally connect. Most times it doesn't.

That's even worse than changing the IP address, so I went back to wired LAN again, and now it's showing OFFLINE all the time too! Grrrrrrrr....

Going into the settings for the printer on PrusaSlicer, it tests ok, but still shows OFFLINE. So it appears that the connection is fine, but the printer just won't communicate the status correctly.

Can someone have a look at these issues, because it's driving me nuts?

Thanks.

That's something you have to set on your router. It should have an option to tie a static IP address to a device MAC address.

RE: PrusaConnect keeps showing OFFLINE and other connection issues

I'm getting this too. Seems to have started happening after the latest release. This morning is typical - Connect was connected, I set up and started a print and everything was good. But when checking back its says OFFLINE so I have to physically go to the printer to check progress. It's annoying and I'd expect better from Prusa. My other printer that runs Klipper and is in the same room as my Prusa Mk4S is fine - I can't recall it ever being offline. My mesh WiFi signal is strong and robust. Someone needs to look at the Connect connection protocols as something is off.

In desperation, I deleted the printer from PrusaConnect and reconnected it. So far, that seems to have fixed the issue. If that's the case, then there's something in the installed parameters that's causing this issues, because nothing else has changed.

I'll look into the Static IP address once these print jobs are complete

How do you delete a printer?

Well add me to the list. Showing offline when it's clearly not offline. I'm getting frustrated and have tried everything. Doesn't help that customer service has over a half hour waiting time to talk

I am having this same issue with my MK4 and XL 5T. It just keeps going on and offline and the printer screen network menu shows me an Error status with a Prusa Connect SRV Error prompt??

You can remove a printer by going into Prusaconnect, click on the Printer you want to remove and then go to the Settings tab. Scroll down to the bottom and you'll find a Remove Printer button. They suggest you use the Download Settings button on the same page first, but I didn't bother.

Yea I’ve already done that 4 times already and even factory reset both printers. None of it has worked for me.

RE: PrusaConnect keeps showing OFFLINE and other connection issues

About 10 minutes after the start of almost every print, Prusa Connect shows my Core One as offline even though the machine is printing normally. The offline/online status usually cycles several times during the print, but this morning Connect has shown the printer as offline for several hours.

Prusa Link works fine throughout, so I think the problem is with the Connect servers or Prusa's network infrastructure.

I have the same problem with the Core One. Connect goes offline after a few minutes and stays offline until shortly before the end of printing. It's very frustrating because the Buddy Camera doesn't work either then and since the Buddy Camera doesn't even have a LAN mode, the camera is useless and you can't monitor the print. I hope this problem will be fixed soon.

RE: PrusaConnect keeps showing OFFLINE and other connection issues

I've just finished building my first Prusa printer (Mk4S) and the lack of stability in Prusa Connect is very frustrating and annoying as part of the reason I chose this product was the networking. What's even more frustrating is that Prusa Connect seems excellent when it works, but I'm seeing multiple random periods of "OFFLINE". Monitoring the Prusa Connect settings on the LCD shows a sequence of messages, typically something like 'Refused', 'Refused' and then "Error" or "Network".

What's even more disturbing is that this seems to have been going on for about 3 months and Prusa has neither responded here nor done anything noticeable about it. I've just given my purchase 3 stars on Amazon instead of the 5 it really deserves simply because of this.

I have quite a lot of networking experience and I'd be happy to work with their customer support to help resolve the issue.

RE: PrusaConnect keeps showing OFFLINE and other connection issues

I don't have the nerve to do this. I have the printer connected to the Prusa Connect via LAN, I have a reserved fixed address for the printer in the router and I see "Status - Connected" there. But Connect reports OFFLINE almost the entire time I've been printing for several hours. No, I'd rather get an Octoprint for this printer too.

Please excuse my writing style.

RE: PrusaConnect keeps showing OFFLINE and other connection issues

Same situation for me.  I've set up my router to have fixed IP address matching that originally set up when I connected my Core One to Prusa Connect.  In the last ~2 weeks my printer status has remained OFFLINE.  I am unable to connect via Prusa Connect in Printables or using the Prusa App.  Looking under Network Settings for my Prusa Connect status on my Core One, it shows an Error -- "Refused" as the connection status.   From above comments, a best next guess attempt at removing my Core One and re-adding it to Prusa Connect sounds like not worth the time, as others have tried this and found it does not resolve the issue.

Prusa Connect usage is pretty awesome.  Would appreciate an official troubleshooting guide for this issue.

I may try to use Prusa Link option instead (LAN based), but perhaps that doesn't integrate into PrusaSlicer EasyPrint.
