Newbie question: How to avoid 3D print artifacts?

I am a complete newbie and just try switching the original Prusa filament with a third party one.

Tried with the temperature settings 215/60 (Hot end/Heated Bed) degrees Celsius but it did not go well. I changed the settings to 200/50 and the final result has many artifacts. I am pretty sure that the Z axis was OK while checking the first layers. How could I avoid these/particles? What could cause them?!?

Have you done any calibration prints such as the temperature tower?
