All my prints have severe stringing
Whenever I try to print things, I have stringing problems
The above print was multiple miniatures at the same time, as you can see the head had to move large distances with no material, leaving behind a string of material. How often and far the head has to move without printing seems to influence the problem the most.
Single miniatures goes better due to this, but still there's a lot of stringing
Other things I've tried so far:
- Different filaments
- Cold pull to clean the hotend/nozzle.
- Printing at different presets (0.05mm - 0.10mm)
- Increasing or decreasing retraction
- Increasing and decreasing the nozzle temperature
And combinations of the above. Some make it slightly better or worse, but I haven't found anything that solves the problem
How can I solve this?

If you're printing with PLA, you can try to dry the spool.
if it's PETG, just get over it.

It's PLA. I tried printing something with a fresh sealed spool, and it causes the same issue, so it can't be moisture.

i personally use a lighter to burn off the strings and a xacto knife to revome the residue

RE: All my prints have severe stringing
I have tried to do my first print, the whistle, it started perfectly, and then I left it, but when I came back, it had been all over the place. It looked like a very long curly hair. I just unwrapped the PLA spool, I have the filament sensor, what should I do?

That's a different issue at all.
Most probably you just have to lower your Live Z value in order to make the print stick better to the bed surface.
Please check the gigantic amount of posts with the same issue

@antonio-da-catania
Thanks, that did the trick.

You have no way of knowing how new filament was treated before it got to you and certain manufacturers are notorious for poor treatment of their cheaper filaments...
Dry it.
