New extruder nozzle screws
I know it isn’t much of a do, but, the original, poorly knurled Prusa extruder retention screws irked me - so, I made some new ones in stead, this time out of grade 2 titanium and weighing in at less than about 2 grams. A nice cosmetic yet functional change. Open to orders….🤣

While I love Ti, I'm afraid it'd interfere with the Nextruder Magnetic Poop Holder V2... and that'd be sad.
But they are beautiful.

And why do you usually brag here about something that others can't make because they don't have access to a lathe or grade 2 titanium? Yeah, if you offered to make them for those interested for a price, the post would have some relevance, otherwise it's just empty bragging!

Relax. It's OK. It's fun. Maybe not your idea of fun like drowning a bag of kittens...
If I wasn't doing a Nextruder-echtomy next month I would have ordered a pair (assuming they are for sale). The would also make good earlobe plugs for the bohemians amongst us.
RE: New extruder nozzle screws
If there is interest in this, I could cost it and get them available. I merely thought it could be an improvement that people could consider plainly because I don’t think that the original ones are on par with what I would expect.
RE: New extruder nozzle screws
Yeah, that's different! If there are enough interested parties, I'll buy 4 pieces. I just hope that the regulations of "our humane EU" don't cause the delivery fees if you are from a country outside the EU to be higher than the price of the 4 pieces.
RE: New extruder nozzle screws
I am in Canada, seems like the postage will be about $10 to Europe with normal post. The screws would be $50 for a pair. The material is a bit expensive. I can make them out of chromoly steel, tool steel or aluminium as well. The latter ones are cheaper but the titanium is much nicer. I can blue them as well into different colours or you can do it yourself using a gas torch. Let me know if you are interested then we can work out the details.
