Carbon Filter fan box for LV-H128 Air Purifier refill.
I'm a 3d newbie, who received my Core One 5 days ago. Crash course in modelling and I've designed and built a mod for the Core One to attach a perfectly sized filter to the dual-fan exhaust on the back of the printer.

Get rid of the screws - use magnets instead!
Ive seen the same design in a video online but done with magnets - just snap on/off nice and easy. Part of the beauty of having a metal enclosure!

Good idea! I would be concerned that the HEPA filter restricts the air flow too much when you print PLA or PETG and need efficient ventilation to keep the build chamber temperature down. There must be a reason why Prusa's filter solution comes with its own extra fan! At the same time, one does not really need the filter for PLA or PETG printing, so having the ability to remove and attach it quickly seems useful.
With the vibrations reported in some Core One units, I am wondering whether the magnets will hold the filter in position or whether it could gradually slip downwards? Might be good to add little positioning fingers which register with the screw holes to define the lateral position.

Come to think of it -- how useful is a filter on the exhaust fans at all? For ASA, ABS etc., where one would really want the emissions to be cleaned up, the fans will probably not be running much at all (to keep the build chamber temperature high). Some air will escape from the build chamber via the gaps in the enclosure, bypassing the filter entirely. For PLA and PETG the fans will be on, but most people will not be concerned about these emissions -- and one may have to remove the filter anyway to get adequate airflow to keep the chamber cool.
Is Prusa's filtration solution a recirculating fan & filter which is mounted inside the chamber, to clean up the air in there without an airflow to and from the outside? That would make more sense to me for ABS, ASA etc.

I've been wondering the same thing, I haven't seen how it is to be mounted to the CORE One yet. But in the product description "The Advanced Filtration System is mounted on the rear exhaust of the printer, the fans are controlled by the firmware." makes me think it doesn't recirculate. More details are needed. All I can tell from the single picture is the blower in it draws air in through the filter cartridge and then blows it out the side of the filtration box.
The advanced filtration for the enclosure mounts internally and recirculates the filtered air. Maybe there isn't enough free space in the CORE One internal envelope?

Thank you for pointing out Prusa’s solution. That might be ideal.
