Intense layershift after Core One + Upgrade
Good evening fellas.
I just finished the upgrade from MK4S to Core One +. After calibrations and belt tuning the first testprints got a crazy layer shifting and I dont know why.
Upper belt straight 98hz, lower belt 92hz.
I'm worried maybe the pulleys are not tight or simply loose? Although I just checked every step while upgrading carefully..
Can you give me some ideas to check on? Need to fix this till friday:(

Share some photos of the belts, the gantry, motors, etc. Record a video of it all while printing (and zoom around).
If belts are tensioned correctly already (those frequencies seem fine), then something is probably not assembled properly, but without any info its hard to tell.
Did you ran the calibration procedure completely? No errors?

Especially photos of left and right pulley. Do all your AXIS test pass?

You should check if the gantry is still square with the frame with the belts completely loose. Have a look at this article: Adjusting belt tension pay close attention to the section on "Quick Gantry Alignment"
RE: Intense layershift after Core One + Upgrade
I don't think layer shifts this severe are caused just by gantry not being squared. It would have to be reaallly bad for this to happen, which will then make it fail homing.

Has there been a resolution? I have the same issue.
I do have experience with core xy machines.
RE: Intense layershift after Core One + Upgrade
Does it happen on different prints? Also, try a pre-sliced part from Printables, just to discard slicer issues.
The only time I had layershifts like these was because I messed up merging two parts in prusa slicer.
RE: Intense layershift after Core One + Upgrade
Since you mentioned C1+ upgrade, check to make sure that the side filament sensor cable is not interfering with gantry movement along the Y axis.

Yes, that one aught me on one of my rebuild cycles.
So Ruben from Support solved my real problem.
I used M3x8 screws in the motormount, it should have been a m3x6. The indicator was when moving the gantry forward and back the extruder would move on the x axis.
I am tickled that the error was mine!
RE: Intense layershift after Core One + Upgrade
Hey there - sorry for the late reply.
I already checked the gantry movement and couldn't find a problem. Also the filament sensor cable is n0t interfering.
Calibration Tests work with X and Y axis and then suddenly homing test fails. Maybe this is an indicator. Going to check now the grub screws on the pulleys.
Any more hints? Going to take some photos today.

SOLUTION:
I checked everything again and again and finally spotted the causing issue.
The grub screw on the X-Axis pulley was a liiiitlle bit loose! Calibration cube now looks looks good!
