Multicolor printing, is it possible?

I've searched and can't find an answer for this. I have a Mini+ and want to know if there's a way to print multiple colors on the same part. Can the MMU3 be used on this machine? Or is there an aftermarket solution for this? Thanks for any help you can offer and sorry if it's an obvious "no you idiot, buy a bigger machine" scenario.

RE: Multicolor printing, is it possible?

Hi Kyle,

MMU3 is not directly compatible with Mini, to the best of my knowledge.

I Guess it's possible to 'Roll your own' firmware, as MMU features are available in marlin firmware, however the firmware would be non standard, and you would need to break the appendix, on your printer.

Another option is Palette 2s or Pallette2SPr0
Or palette3

I have used palette2S Pro with Mk3S successfully

I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility. Location Halifax UK

Simple multi-colour prints are possible by manually changing the filament.

Here's a cleverly designed warning sign with three-colours using this technique.

Not quite the same as an MMU but depending on what you're trying to achieve, it might be good enough.
