Mk4 with octolapse
Hello,
i installed a raspberry 4b on my mk4 to be able to make timelapses of my prints. I didn’t have any success printing, the filament stops extruding. I turned off octolapse and it printed great again. Did anyone manage to get octolapse to work on their mk4 ?
RE: Mk4 with octolapse
Yes, you need to deactivate the "Stabilization" feature and use one of the "Smart Triggers", e.g. "snap to print". Then it will work.

This earlier post has a screenshot of my settings for OctoLapse and the MK4:

RE: Mk4 with octolapse
I don't use OctoLapse myself, but I have seen reports that the following fixes the "stops extruding" problem on MK4:
- Go to the Octolapse tab and edit your printer profile.
- Make sure "Customize Profile" is checked:
- Scroll down to "Firmware Settings" and set "G90/G91 Influences Extruder" to "True".
Please let us know if that solves it for you or not.
RE: Mk4 with octolapse
This definitely helped me. THANK YOU.

@scottw - indeed, thank you for this tip. This works and it also has made my day! Thank you!
RE: Mk4 with octolapse
Apart from changes in octoprint/octolapse that @ScottW mentioned do I need to change Gcode in the prusa slicer so that the nozzle would move away after every layer and the bed would move to the front? And if yes, what is the gcode and where exactly should I paste it?
