Mk4 with octolapse

Hello,

i installed a raspberry 4b on my mk4 to be able to make timelapses of my prints. I didn’t have any success printing, the filament stops extruding. I turned off octolapse and it printed great again. Did anyone manage to get octolapse to work on their mk4 ?

Yes, you need to deactivate the "Stabilization" feature and use one of the "Smart Triggers", e.g. "snap to print". Then it will work.

This earlier post has a screenshot of my settings for OctoLapse and the MK4:

I don't use OctoLapse myself, but I have seen reports that the following fixes the "stops extruding" problem on MK4:

  • Go to the Octolapse tab and edit your printer profile.
  • Make sure "Customize Profile" is checked:
  • Scroll down to "Firmware Settings" and set "G90/G91 Influences Extruder" to "True".

Please let us know if that solves it for you or not.

Thanks @scottw, that's the solution! No need to change any other setting, this one fixed it, and made my day 😊
