Wipe tower retraction
Greetings, fine folks. I recently picked up an IDEX printer (A tenlog TL-D3 Pro). It comes with a profile for Cura, but as I use PrusaSlicer at work (And, to be honest, I just like PrusaSlicer better), I wanted to set up a profile. Thankfully, someone has one on GitHub that I then tweaked a bit.
I've settled on using a wipe tower, which works pretty well. However, I'm running into an issue and I'm not sure if my instinct is correct.
When the tool leaves the wipe tower, it ends up leaving a thick, heavy string as though it's still extruding. A bit of this string often gets brought with it and ends up on the exterior of the print.
My initial thought is that retraction needs work, but this doesn't seem quite like normal retraction.
Does PrusaSlicer do a retraction after the wipe tower?
I've included two pictures to show what I'm talking about. The two corners of the wipe tower, and the bits and bobs on the side of the benchy - Most easily seen around the porthole and top of the smoke stack. You can ignore the layer shifts on the benchy - that was entirely because I was being a bit aggressive with the bed movements and it ended up skipping steps, so that problem has already been solved.
