Vase mode and modifier

I needed to print an object in vase mode and at the same time use a fuzzy skin from a some height. So to use a modifier, the height range modifier is enough. With Prusaslicer 2.5.0. it's not as easy as it seems; Prusaslicer reports an error. See attached 3mf file. Where am I making mistake?

RE: Vase mode and modifier

You aren't making any mistake.  You can't do that with PS.
With the way Prusa have implemented modifiers many of the modifier options in effect 'split' the object into multiple volumes that are sliced individually.  Multiple volumes are not compatible with the vase mode requirements.  Therefore you get an error.

Thank you.

I solved the problem like this. I sliced the entire model without the fuzzy effect and a second time with the fuzzy effect and combined both g-codes in the text editor.

Yea that’s the best way to work around the limitations of the software if it’s by height. Much more difficult if you want to do different sections at the same heights.
Until they change how modifiers are processed it’s about the only option though.
