Variable Layer Height Feature is terribad, please fix

Am I missing something or is there no way to manually set layer heights other than this janky 'smoothing' interface?

Like from Z= 0 - 10 I want 0.3mm layers, from Z = 10 - 20 I want 0.2mm layers. Trying to get these setup in the current interface is damn near impossible with the whole mouse clicking shenanigans, especially at the bottom where the layer height display interferes with adjusting the first half dozen or so layers.

Prusa, please just let us type in discrete layer heights for certain ranges.

Have you considered raising your request on the Prusa Slicer Git Hub page?

You can do what you're describing, but with a limitation. If you right-click a part in the parts list at the right of the screen, there's an option for a height range modifier. There, you can specify start and stop heights for a range to modify.

Unfortunately, you seem to be limited to a single modifier currently, at least from what I can determine. Not sure why, but that may be a feature Team Prusa expand on.

The original Slic3r allows specifying ranges for the Variable layer height function. I'm not sure why Prusa dropped that feature and only provides the mouse input for user-specified ranges. It works, but it is clumsy if you're trying for fine control.

Other modifiers let you adjust many settings, but not layer heights.

Definitely put in a feature request on GitHub, or flag your interest if an existing request is asking for the same thing.

There is an option for quite a couple of versions back to add a table of layer range modifiers, see the screenshot.

Ah, THAT's what I was looking for. The little +/- buttons don't show up until you highlight the Layers line. That one definitely needs to be documented. Thanks.
