User preset filaments missing when MMU printer is selected
OK, maybe I missed something.
I ordered the MMU3 for my MK3S+ and thought I could start getting familiar with how Prusa Slicer works for MMU prints. So, maybe I am missing something, but when I select a MMU printers all my User Presets for filament are not there. I find that I can take the System Presets and make a new copy, and that becomes a User Preset for the MMU printer. Does this mean I will have to redo all my filament presets, or is there is a way to import my User presets from the non MMU printer to the MMU printer in Prusa Slicer.
Thanks
Rusty

Correct, profiles are specific for different combinations. Many filaments for example don't have equivalents for MMU. Same with Print profiles.
If you use googles search Site: function (" site: forum.prusa3d.com/ profile compatibility" as an example ) instead of the built in forum search (which sucks) there are already several posts about the ways to do this. For example

Thank you, and the built in 'search' does leave a lot to be desired.
I skimmed through most of those threads and sort of understand the reasoning. For example, a MK3 with a .6 nozzle might have a different retraction than a MK3 using a .4 nozzle. However, are there settings that would change if one was using the MMU or not, assuming the printer and nozzle size are the same?

RE: User preset filaments missing when MMU printer is selected
You could use the compare function built into PS to compare different profiles. I don't have an MMU so I don't know off hand without doing some research. Given the MMU seems to be a rather temperamental item I could see why only certain combinations are supported and why some settings are changed.
I just used the compare tool to compare Prusa PLA and Prusa PLA @ MMU, there are loads of differences. Even things you wouldn't expect like filament temperature.

Yeah, I found the compare function. There is a lot to configure, and I need to start reading more on how to properly set these settings.
