Unwanted filament changes every print

Hey all!

I'm experiencing requests for filament changes with every print. It seems to have started after disconnecting my MMU2, but not sure 100% on that timing.

It's not totally random, but seems to happen between layers even though I haven't added any color changes. I thought it could be related to the filament sensor, but given it doesn't happen randomly, it doesn't make sense for that. I downgraded to the previous prusaslicer thinking its a slicer bug, but it's still happening.

I've attached the gcode. Can anyone see anything in there that could be causing this issue??

Thanks!, it's driving me crazy!!

Have you changed back to the original filament sensor?

I try to make safe suggestions,You should understand the context and ensure you are happy that they are safe before attempting to apply my suggestions, what you do, is YOUR responsibility. Location Halifax UK

No, I simply disconnected the wire connectors from the MMU2

Hmmm, I posted the gcode but it doesn't seem to be there?? And when I try to attach to this post I don't see anything either. Is there something special I'm supposed to be doing to attach a file?

Yes, you have to zip up files to be attached for most file types.  The forum will silently just not attach them otherwise.

I think the correct usage with the new firmware is to leave all the MMU wires connected and just DISABLE the MMU unit from SETUP LCD menu on the printer, otherwise the printer do mess.

Glad you reminded me. I forgot that this issue is why I disconnected the wires on the MMU2. Was thinking maybe that was an issue.

Now I need to figure out how to attach this g code...

Cant see anything in the gcode that is calling for filament changes.  Everything uses extruder 1 etc.  I'd say it is your sensor/hardware.

Ok, so if that's the case, what would the sensor/hardware fault be??

The print stops, asks for the filament to be removed(which means it doesn't think it ran out), and requests the new filament be put in. What should I be testing for?

Thanks
