Support material on a spiral

I have a spiral that I'm trying to print and it needs support, of course. I tried to manaully add supports, but couldn't make it work. With auto supports, it adds suport from the build plate to each level of the spiral (see below). I'm thinking it only needs support for the first full 360 degree are and then each other "level" would be supported by the lower ones. Is there an option for that?

Have you tried 'Snug' supports?

Or if you load the latest slicer 2.6.0 Alpha 6. you could try 'Organic' Supports
