Smooth variable layer height on 2.1.1

Very new to everything 3d but while having a play with 2.1.1 of Prusaslicer. Could somebody explain what shift right mouse button (smoothing) does? I think I understand what variable layer height is, what it's for and the other functions but shift right mouse button doesn't seem to do anything.

The variable layer height function is a marvelous tool when it functions.

Working on a Mac (no mouse) I have the same questioning when making crlt-click, which should be the equivalent of your right-click on a PC.

It seems to be the case, that at least the Mac version of PrusaSlicer 2.1.1. which should be the last update, you actually don't find the "Adaptive Slicing tap : Printsetting/Layers and Perimeters/Use Adaptive Slicing and neither just like the tap: Adaptive Quality. The "Use Adaptive Slicing" tap should be ticked for the variable layer height to become active.
