Slicer will not create supports where they are needed
I have a situation where I cannot get the slicer to create supports. I have tried using enforcers and am using everywhere however it still leaves them out and attempts to create a 100mm bridge (you can imagine how well that goes!).
I know I could re orientate however I particularly want the large face on the printbed for the finish and I don't care that much about the finish for the rest (its a little drawer so the front will face out and the rest will be hidden most of the time).
You can see from the attached image it will only generate supports on the top of the draw. I want that green to extend to the left to the bottom of the draw so the face of the back of the drawer is supported. Any idea how I get that to happen?
RE: Slicer will not create supports where they are needed
Under Print Settings > Support Settings there is an Advanced option called Dont Support Bridges that is Enabled by default on the normal profiles, that if slicer detects a bridge perimeter wont use supports even if theres an enforcer. Turn that off and you should be able to add supports under your bridge.
btw while the mk3 would have trouble with a 100mm bridge, one of my other printers that uses a petsfang duct with big fan it managed some 120mm bridging on some throwaway internal support parts so its not always impossible 🙂

Ta Neophyl.
I seem to remember it saying something about disabling that option when I turned on supports. Something like it works better without and never thought to check again. Will go give that a look now...
