Seam position front instead of rear
Hi guys,
I have been trying to find a way to replicate the Simplify3D setting for placing seams closest to a co-ordinate?
The part I am printing have overhangs to the front which need the assistance of the fan while printing so I need the part to be positioned in this. This unfortunately means that I have to use the rear settings to align seam which causes some aesthetic issues.
Is there any way through post-processing or custom g-code to enable seams at the front instead of rear?
Many thanks in advance 🙂

RE: Seam position front instead of rear
Use paint on seams, you can put them in any arbitrary place, you can even use a different place for inside and outside if you wish. The Alpha version 2.5.0 improves on this by interpreting your paint on into straight lines or sweeping curves.
RE: Seam position front instead of rear
As @towlerg mentioned use the "Seam Painting tool", paint the seams wherever you like and set the "Seam position" to "align". I will not recommend the alpha2 right now as you are learning and it's an alpha version.
Good luck

I wasn't suggesting the use of the Alpha, merely pointing out that the next revision will make seam manipulation even better.
