PrusaSlicer infill - can it be different within same design?
Is it possible to change the infill (default 15%) for different parts of the design? for example, can the legs of a horse get different infill value that other parts?

Yes the body's are still attached, but PS allows you to treat them separately.
If you don't have the ability to model your own stuff in CAD then using modifier shapes in PS is your best bet. Look up how to videos on YouTube.
Here's a good one

Yes, if you make the parts you want different infill separate bodies in CAD. Then when you bring it into PS there is a parts button across the top of the screen. Then you'll see the separate bodies listed in the tree on the right. If you right click on them you can change perimeters, layer height, infill etc.

So I guess it is impossible to change infill for a specific body.

You absolutely can. See my post above.

I was thinking that separated means totally separated. Or did you mean the parts are still attached together, yet defined as separated bodies in CAD??

This is interesting. Thank you. I wasn't aware of that function with modifiers. This is certainly answering my question at the slicer level.
As for CAD: I am using OpenSCAD. I don't think I can create separate bodies there: as far as I know the output is one merged STL

I'm not familiar with SDCad, but in SolidWorks there's a split function that you can use to split models up.
When you save it as an STL. If the bodies are separate in CAD they will be in the STL as well. PS will import them and as default show then as 1 body, but if you click the parts button near the top of the screen it'll separate then into individual parts. They will still all print together, your just able to modify the properties for each body independently.
A perfect example of this might be some text you want to print a different color. You can leave the text as separate bodies and easily select the test and make it a different color.
Good luck.
