PrusaSlicer 2.9.0-alpha1 with Multiple beds, Scarf seams and much more
I wanted these features soooo much. Link to GitHub: PrusaSlicer 2.9.0-alpha1
RE: PrusaSlicer 2.9.0-alpha1 with Multiple beds, Scarf seams and much more
And still no straight line painting tool for seams….
Scarf seams might be useful, everything else I find hard to get excited about. But then again, it's a point release so good for them.

That's why I use Windows 11 as a workaround for slicing. Press left mouse button on the starting point and hold it. Press and release left ALT key. Release left mouse button. Click left mouse button on the end point of the seam. Better than waiting.....
RE: PrusaSlicer 2.9.0-alpha1 with Multiple beds, Scarf seams and much more
There's actually a similar shortcut for the Mac if you have a three button mouse. I use it but it's very finicky. Geez, how hard can it be to implement...

More curious Pro Tips: ( The Brush Tool ) By Swiss_Cheese . Closing the painting menu with ESC and reopen it. Sounds to me more like a bug used as a feature. I agree should be an obvious function in the painting menu for ages.
RE: PrusaSlicer 2.9.0-alpha1 with Multiple beds, Scarf seams and much more
Where is the Linux AppImage version?
Currently there is only Windows and Mac...
RE: PrusaSlicer 2.9.0-alpha1 with Multiple beds, Scarf seams and much more
Read the announcement: https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/releases/tag/version_2.9.0-alpha1
RE: PrusaSlicer 2.9.0-alpha1 with Multiple beds, Scarf seams and much more
arghh... I completly bypassed the introduction which was clearly a wrong idea... next time I will read all the paragraph instead of reading only features topics.
RE:
Could the supported Platforms be included in the according release notes? I was on a long search to now find out that there is no Linux version available via Flathub at this moment...
RE: PrusaSlicer 2.9.0-alpha1 with Multiple beds, Scarf seams and much more
They are in the release notes. The full ones on Github. Always go to the source rather than rely on distributions 🙂 Even Prusa ones lol.
RE: PrusaSlicer 2.9.0-alpha1 with Multiple beds, Scarf seams and much more
I meant the supported ones available on Flatpak not in general (I use the Linux 2.8.1 Version using Flatpak already)
I checked here: https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/releases/tag/version_2.9.0-alpha1 but on the section "Linux: Distribution through Flathub" there is no information about where to get the alpha version..
Did I miss something here?
RE: PrusaSlicer 2.9.0-alpha1 with Multiple beds, Scarf seams and much more
I haven't played with the alpha yet, but I'm curious. How well does PS 2.9.0a1 import a Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer .3mf that has multiple beds? (And vice-versa...)

Did you read the section below the heading "Linux: Distribution through Flathub" of the link that you posted? All the info is there.

Yes I did. After trying it just right now again using the following command again it worked:
flatpak run com.prusa3d.PrusaSlicer//beta
By the time of writing my first entry, I did not get the alpha version, which was the reason for all those posts.... Next time I will let pass some days before I try to install it.
