PrusaSlicer 2.7.0

I have an issue since 2.7 alpha that has been annoying me. I posted a bug report but that didn't seem to help. I am now thinking that maybe it is an 'old fart' symptom so I am wondering if I could get somebody to verify what I am seeing.

This is an issue with 2.7 alpha all the way to the just released 2.7.0

I have 3 printers configured, all with 0.4 mm nozzles. When I go to Printer Settings and then hit the down arrow in the selection box, I see about 250 system presets for printers, mostly different nozzle sizes but also some printer models I have never set up in the configuration.

In any version prior to 2.7 alpha, I only saw system presets for the configured printers.

I would have thought this very obvious bug would have been sorted by now but it made it through rc1, rc2 and now the final release.

RE: PrusaSlicer 2.7.0

Sounds like every printer got installed.  If there was a bug in the configuration wizard that ended up installing every printer then even if that bug was later found and fixed it wouldn't help you.  At that point you already would have them installed.  So NO new version is going to automatically remove them.

I suggest you run the Configuration wizard again (Configuration>Configuration Wizard from the top menu) and make sure that ONLY the printers and filaments you want are selected.  Don't skip any of the stages, go through them all until you get to the finish.  That should remove any that you don't want.

This is the same configuration that works with 2.6 so the problem is not in the configuration but I did try to reconfigure without luck.

Your bug report was closed, and to me it looks like the person who closed it didn't really understand the issue you reported.  You should have re-opened it and explained further until it was clear that it was understood by the dev team.

However it does look like you are the only person to have reported this problem.

Just as a follow-up - I determined that a corruption/misconfiguration in one of my printer profiles somehow managed to corrupt/affect the main program. Once the corrupt .ini file was deleted (or repaired), everything worked fine.
