Prusaslicer 2.1, why i have different layer heigh between part and support

Hi, tryng again to use prusaslicer, but just installed 2.1 e slice a part with 0.2 layer height... but slicer tell me many different layer... so i have the object with 0.2 layer but the support they have a 0.3 layer... so sometimes i have layer with printer only obj and other layer where i print only support....

is normal ? how i can correct this ?

thanks

marco

support uses a different layer height to create the spacing needed between the support and the surface above it - it's normal

I think there is a setting to synchronize the supports to the print layers. I don't have time right now to try to find it though.

See my (limited) designs on:

It's in the support menu ...

The reason for the difference is that you don't want a support layer to be equal is you select a support to part separation distance that doesn't equal the layer height.

Set sync, then set layers to 0.15, then set support to be 0.1 mm, and you won't get what you want.

Thanks to all for the answers.  I found a point "syncronize with object layer"  under "support" but is greyed, i see depend from "contact z distance" value... if i put "contact z distance" to zero i can check "syncronize with object layer"  otherwise seem i cannot enable it.

Putting contact z distance to zero is not suitable for me because i do not use solubile support.

So i must use this strange layer format? everyone use this way without problem...? for me is a bit strange but if it is normal and is better way... ok...
