PrusaSlicer 2.1.0 Manual

Does anyone have a downloadable Manual. I'd like to read/study it offline.

You can glean a lot from the Slic3r documentation, but there are some differences since the fork. Spending some time staring at the teeny-tiny and rapidly disappearing tool tips is also informative.

For instance, PrusaSlicer currently displays the time duration of print. How do I change that to display "time remaining"?

If you have an Prusa mk X that’s a setting on the Prusa firmware. When Prusa slicer generates the gcode it adds in gcode throughout the file to output time remaining on the lcd if the option is ticked on the printer settings tab. I’m not at the pc at the moment so can’t remember which screen it’s on but it’s on the printer settings area. The printer firmware has to support that though which the Prusa does if set in its options but something like a cr10 doesn’t support it so you only get time it’s been printing.

Okay, so now you got me looking in the right area but I still couldn't find it.

Then I saw that Slicer has added three new tabs in the top right corner "Simple, Advanced and Expert"

I was set on "Advanced". Once I switched to "Expert" the question "Support Remaining Time?" appeared.

I do believe this will solve it.  I'll know for sure with my next print.

Thank you.

Is this link of any help?

I’m new to PrusaSlicer myself, having just bought a Prusa Mini Plus 2nd-hand. My previous experience was Cura Slicer & AnyCubic i3 Mega.

Browsing for some form of written information, I found this link to State Library of Queensland induction page. For what help it’s worth, here’s the link:

is it useful?

Prusa Slicer only creates the gcode file used for printing. Therefore, time remaining is not applicable.

RE: PrusaSlicer 2.1.0 Manual

That is factually incorrect Julie.  The slicer estimates time remaining and puts in appropriate lines into the gcode file to make the printer lcd update with those times.  If the slicer didnt add them the printer wouldnt be able to display them.  As pointed out earlier though the printers firmware has to support that function which the prusa printer do but many othgers dont as the display commands were added by Prusa for their use.
