Prusa slicer stopped working with Ender 3 V2
Hello all!
I have been troubleshooting this weird problem for a few weeks now. Maybe someone knowledgeable here can help me please?
Been using Prusa slicer to print on both my MK3 and Ender V2 for a couple of years now. After a recent upgrade of this software (I forget if it was only a software version or was that a config change only or both) prints on the Ender stopped working. The exact problem is that the first layer prints fine, but all layers after that seem to be "tearing".
I have tried increasing the temps to 250 but no real improvement. Using PETG here. First layer seems to be fine, as it was in the past. What gives?

ok so lots of views, and no response. That tells me that maybe I am doing something wrong myself. So I researched on the internet and found many articles. There are a lot of probable causes. Can someone please help me where to start among these:

I have a V2 Neo and also I have been having issues on the public release 2.7.1 for MacOS issues with the thermistor so I thought, but it was actually (from process of elimination) PrusaSlicer it seems to fail mid print with issue 'nozzle temp to low' it seems to work with any other SD card files like the stock shipped files fine from Creality. It happens around 10 mins in around the time the temperature is changing from first to second layer. @Prusa issues help! btw been using PLA

I tightened the heater block and somehow it seems to have fixed it and also found my fan was loose too! 1 Print done if it comes back I will reply if not it has been working!

That didn't last long, lasted till yesterday got one print done inbetween fixing and another failed print. BUT I have new info it seems to do so when the part cooling fan is enabled the temperatures drop around 1 degree per second then you get the normal error 'nozzle temperature too low' any information would be much appreciated!

Well, I am still having issues. PLEASE HELP ME!
I could use your collective knowledge to solve this please: I have a weird problem which I am struggling with for more than a month now. I am using PETG. It used to print just fine. Then around a month ago, Prusaslicer had a software update, after that all hell broke loose on the Ender V2. My other Prusa i3 mk3 still prints fine.
If I print a part, any part, self designed or downloaded from Thingyverse, the walls delaminate.
Using the EXACT same settings, (printing, filament, etc) if I make a "shape box" in PrusaSlicer, it prints perfectly.
The only difference I can see that the parts I want to print are much larger than the test "shape boxes". The largest test shape box I have printed is 50x10x20. Prints fine. But the parts are like 4 times that size.
What is happening? How can I fix it?
I have already tried all these things:
- Increased temps to 245 and bed to 90
- Turning off cooling fan
- Extrusion calibration using :
- 40 cube in vase mode &
- extrusion multiplier calibration (using length)
- Filament measurement and calibration

This forum thread has been pretty quite we've both had issues with our ender 3's and I can print old files but not new ones with current prusaslicer, one thing to ask could you download old prusaslicer on prusa's website or do they get rid of the last download. With your issue could you try maybe PLA should show if it is material dependent or if it is a whole machine issue. Do you have any pre-sliced files from a while back or the SD card which came with the machine mine was made by 'kingfast' but try that old file could be a similar issue to myself.

To eliminate the slicer software from the equation...I used Cura to slice and print on the Ender. Same issues - delamination 🙁
Right now I am trying to find a way to factory reset my Ender and see if that will make a difference...

one thing I've ruled out is SD card for me used both my own and one which came with the printer(which I hardly use, little NAND flash ware) same issue fails when fan is enabled

My freind owns a Ender 3 v2 se after I set prusa slicer up last week latest version of ps and the firmware on the printer I used the standered profile that was in the ps config by going add printer none prusa printer Ender etc it works fine and he has done 40 hrs minimum no problems

I a just confused I actually don't have any clue at all I have used an old version of prusaslicer 2.6 and it fails. I find I need to turn off the fan whilst it ramps up then turn it on slightly later and it seems to work, any ideas?

Wowwwww its way too accurate! I have been printing for an entire year now and always been using Prusa Slicer. But when it updated to 2.7 I started to get lots of fail prints and tried everything TILL turn off Arachne perimeter generator. I had 2 tests so far and turning off this feature was the solution, I still need more tests.
