Option to disable "Check for updates" is gone
Why was the ability to turn off update checks removed from 2.4?
I see now every time I start PrusaSlicer the first thing it does is call https://files.prusa3d.com/wp-content/uploads/repository/PrusaSlicer-settings-master/live/PrusaSlicer.version2
RE: Option to disable "Check for updates" is gone
It is there: Configuration -> Configuration Wizard -> Updates -> Check for application updates
RE: Option to disable "Check for updates" is gone
Also under Preferences>General and another under preferences>gui to choose to be notified about new versions of the software or not.
RE: Option to disable "Check for updates" is gone
I did not think to try running the wizard for an option like that.
Thanks a lot.
RE: Option to disable "Check for updates" is gone
It seems it doesn't matter what I set in the configuration wizard. PrusaSlicer Always connects to the internet when launched, one call is to prusa-lb.vshosting.cz.
If I uncheck "Check for application updates" (with "Update built-in Presets automatically" unchecked), the next time I launch the program, I'm told a configuration update is available and when I open the configuration wizard, "Update built-in Presets automatically is now checked". When I uncheck that and restart the program, "Check for application updates is now checked".
RE: Option to disable "Check for updates" is gone
In all the betas/updates I have used, something must have gone wrong with the ~/.config/PrusaSlicer/ settings. I deleted everything in that directory and went through the PrusaSlicer wizard again and it is correctly retaining my settings.
