need help linux version

just  got a chromebook for Christmas and I'm switching from using Cura on my previous laptop (win64bit) to now using the linux version of the Pursa Slicer.
I've gotten it installed, but my problem lies in figuring out finding my stl files and saving me sliced gcode.   I tried to save/export the gcode and got a permission error, yet I could save the project file without issue.  Also, I saved me stl to that same folder.
typically I would like to keep them all on our NAS/Diskstation.   or is there a way directly from Prusa to launch OctoPrint/Octoremote

Our printer is Ender3V2  (we eventually want to upgrade to a Prusa)

RE: need help linux version

I've never used Chromebook, so take what I say with a very large grain of salt. I've read that running when running an Linux .appimage on Chromebook, it gets sandboxed and can't access most of the file system. I also read that running a flatpack is easier, but I don't know if that will let you access the file system either.

You should be able to slice a file and send the G-Code directly to OctoPrint. https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/sending-files-to-octoprint-duet_1663/
