Your models are probably damaged. Please either post the models or a saved project containing them. You will need to zip them up for the forum to accept them.
If you are on windows 10 you can try right clicking and use the fix through netfabb option which may be able to automatically repair.

RE: not able to slice

Ok, there is nothing wrong with the models, although pumpkin 3 has to be trimmed on the bottom (by roughly 0.2mm) to get a flat surface to get it nicely on the bed and no generate a missing layers error.

The issue is that the walls are too thin for a standard 0.4mm nozzle (with the default 0.45 width) to pick up.  Even with a xy compensation of 0.2 (which makes every part of the model 0.2mm thicker it still doesn't pick up all the details.  Also there are lots of overhangs on pumpkins 2 & 3 so they wont print well and I assume you don't want support inside as that will be difficult to impossible to remove.

Its not until you scale them up to 150% AND use at least 0.1 xy compensation that they start to pick up all the details and even then the overhang issue remains.  No matter how they are scaled that wont change.  Basically 2 & 3 are not designed to be 3d print friendly.

Well what settings has the creator on his thingiverse item used ?  Usually they mention print settings or it gets asked in the comments if you read them  Unfortunately thingiverse is returning zero objects when I search for pumpkin at the moment, its being particularly terrible this evening so I havent been able to look myself.

Thanks.  The author says he scaled it to 125% and if you look at the first picture you can see pumpkin3 is missing the details in the eyes, so I wouldnt say his print is complete either.  Its not a hi resolution pic either so Id say that he also has had issues and that it looks ok from a distance.

Well you could just see what different values of xy compensation gives you.  try values above 0.2mm  Also it seems to slice better with detect thin walls turned off if you use xy compensation.  The parts arent big so its not alot of filament to play with.  Even if the tops are a bit droppy due to the internal overhangs you probably wont notice on those shapes and at that size.
