New "Connect" auth scheme crashes slicer immediately
Title says it. Under Ubuntu Linux 24.04 I see a dialog box referencing some new authentication scheme, followed by an immediate crash. 100% repeatable. Works on a Mac Mini running Sequoia, FWIW. Whatever new security layer this might be it doesn't play nicely. I'm currently unable to do my work on the Linux box...
This is with the latest release version of Prusa Slicer.

Not sure if Prusa looks at this though judging from the size of the queue. One thing you can try is to pull the source from github, compile it locally. Feed the stack trace (or core dump) to an AI agent and have it fix it for you. It'll be a lot faster than waiting on Prusa to fix it.

If it's happening here, it's happening to a lot of users so I believe it will get some attention paid to it. I refuse to use AI on general principles, but thanks for the suggestion.

Making double posts in different sections isn't that helpful as it just diverts work from working on a single post to now the same post elsewhere, so only going to stick with this post. Next time please just keep it to a single post.
I submitted this to the developers, but it should be reported to github since those tickets go directly to the developers right away.

I was TOLD to post it here by a person on the Connect forum <sigh....> And now that I know GitHub is the correct place to post I shall do so in the future. But, there was no way to know that beforehand.
