Need help with cylinder
Hi all,
I was wondering if someone can help me. I need to create an open cylinder with the following dimensions:
OD: 52mm. ID: 43mm. Height: 20mm
I can create an open cylinder but I cannot figure out how to do the OD ID part.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

RE: Need help with cylinder
I think you would create a "negative" space using the cylinder and position it within the larger cylinder. You can use the "part manipulation" controls in the bottom left to fine-tune the positioning and size of the two cylinders.
RE: Need help with cylinder
But how would I fill in the space between the two cylinders?
RE: Need help with cylinder
The first cylinder should be "solid" and the second hollows out the middle. Is that not what you want? Or is that not what you are seeing?

What @twbaum said.
Alternatively, try tinkercad.com. For something as simple as that, it sure beats any more powerful CAD software. Just create a cylinder, create a small "hole" cylinder and align them on the three axis with the L shortcut. Literally a 1 minute job.

Thank you very much! I will go try that now and come back if I need more help. Thank you again.

Yes, that is what I want. Thank you.
RE:
And the bottom being what thickness? Or open at both ends?
I try to give answers to the best of my ability, but I am not a 3D printing pro by any means, and anything you do you do at your own risk. BTW: I have no food for…
RE: Need help with cylinder
What do you mean the "L" tool? Thank you.
RE: Need help with cylinder
I am trying to make a cylinder, open both ends, 52mm x 52mm x 20mm, with a wall thickness of 9mm. Thank you.
And the bottom being what thickness? Or open at both ends?
RE:
If you want to do it in slicer only:
See attached file... Shape-Cylinder.3mf
You can use the z position of "Generic-Cylinder" to change the bottom thickness. Its 5 mm right now and the position is set relative to the "shape-cylinder".
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
