Looking for a Dremel 3D45 profile for Prusa Slicer... Help me help my students!
Hi, I was gifted a Dremel 3D45 printer for my classroom recently. Current printers are Prusa Mini and Prusa MK3S. I would like to be able to use the Dremel printer too, and use the Prusa Slicer - as it is especially advantageous at colour changes at given layers. Does anyone have a profile / configuration that produces good results? Cheers from Aussie Land.

I have just made a profile, let me know if it works for you.

Hi Mate! Thanks. I've only just seen this and done a test print. It worked well. I'll play around some more and see how Dremel handles Prusa commands like a colour change. Much appreciated! Scott

@Scotts @Elephantmotor
Does anyone have an update? Did the profile work well with the added features of Prusa Slicer? How about variable layer height?
Does anyone have the referenced Dremel_3D45_platform.stl?
Thank you,
RAH

I found the Dremel STL file in the Dremel install of Cura. Moving it to a more useful place for the ini file. I will let you know how that works out.

RE:
Hello,
I am in the same situation as @scotts. I am already very well versed in Prusa Slicer, and I also just really don't like the Dremel DigiLab Slicer, so I was excited to see that someone had already made a profile for the Dremel 3D45 (my school got a Dremel 3D40, but since the only difference between the two is being able to use multiple filaments vs just PLA, the profiles should be compatible).
However, after I downloaded the profile that @Elphantmotor created and followed the steps on the Prusa page on manually downloading profiles, I kept getting an error message in the configuration wizard saying it "failed to extract local archive" for the 3D45.zip. I've tried doing this multiple times and still keep getting the error message, so I can't figure out what is going wrong.
Can someone please help?
Thanks
