Lithophane and Prusa-slicer

Hello,

I want to print a lampshade with lithophane, and I have some hole in the picture. On the lithophanemaker, I select the minimum thickness to 0.6 and I use a buse of 0.4mm. On the software, the option "detect thin walls" is checked. I have read that if it is too thick, we can have some hole. So I pass the configuration from 0.6 to 0.7 on lithophanemaker, and the result is worst.

You can see the picture of the result of the slicer of a part of the lampshade with a constant thickness of 0.7 and we can see a lot of holes.

I can unchecked the option "detect thin walls" but it take more time to print.

Have you an idea to solve this issue ?

Thanks in advance,

RE: Lithophane and Prusa-slicer

Please attach your saved Prusa Slicer project file.  File>Save Project As.  This will save a .3mf file.  The 3mf is a complete snapshot with the settings for all 3 profiles, the model, any modifiers, placement etc etc etc.  With a project we can slice it exactly as you are doing and we can then check through all the settings much easier, go through the preview options.  Its the easiest way to debug slicing issues.

There are several things it could be but without playing 20 questions or a project we just cant know.

One thing to be aware of though is the forums allowed file types are very restricted so you MUST zip the 3mf into an zip archive or the forum will silently fail to attach it.  No warning, it just wont be there when you post.  This applies to most file formats here.  About the only ones not are images.
