Less supports when printing - HOW??

Hi everybody,

i hope i can get some help her because in the german forum nobody nose about my problem.

I hope my englisch is not to bad.

How can I get the best settings in Prusaslicer so that I only get a support at the railing edge in the boat model. The removal of the supports, with Prusasclizer, unfortunately, sometimes the railing breaks away. I'd like it in some supports like the one on the left I tried with Cura. Unfortunately, I'm missing the railing from bottom to top here at the back of the deck. It is enough if I only get a support for both railings.

What must i put in the Prusaslizer settings to get only at the railing support.

Greatings from Germany

Here you go. If I understand your question correctly, paint on supports is what you are looking for:

RE: Less supports when printing - HOW??

Maybe you could try to add a dummy resin printer in PrusaSlicer and use it to add tree supports on the railings only.
Export (file - export - export buildplate with supports) as a .STL, which can be loaded onto the real FDM printer.

I use this method to add supports for the Anycubic Mono X resin printer as I like PrusaSlicer better than Photon WorkShop.
So you have to experiment a bit as I don't know how well the supports print on FDM.
Also have a look at Photon WorkShop as it allows to modify thickness and contact points of the supports.
