Installing PrusaSlicer on Chromebook running Debian 12 (bookworm)

Hello,

I've been able to run PrusaSlicer on my Acer Chromebook via the native Linux vm (Debian 12 - bookworm) by using the GTK2 unix versions each time.  However, it looks like only GTK3 versions are available at the moment for the latest PrusaSlicer 2.8.0.  I have not successfully gotten a GTK3 version to run.  Does anyone know how I can make a GTK3 version run on my distro?  I'm very poor at unix in general, but I can follow directions pretty well and restore back to a linux backup when I goof things up.

Thanks!

-Todd

Set up a new VM with Ubuntu 22.04 and try there

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.

Per my statement about not being savvy at Unix, I'm going to pass on installing a new VM on my chromebook, which sounds like it would be a poor choice for someone claiming to be poor at unix in general.  From other posts I'm seeing here on prusa3d forums, it sounds like several different versions of linux are running into difficulty with the latest version.  I was hoping to run into someone who also runs PrusaSlicer on Crostini (Chromebook's version of Debian, which apparently has a reputation of being very stable -- for people like me).  Maybe they are a little smarter about figuring out how to install dependencies that would make 2.8.0 work on Crostini.
