Infill pattern as toplayer pattern
Hi@all, is there a workaround or function in prusa slicer planed to use infill patterns like honeycomb to decorate the toplayer surfaces? Also stemp patterns would be nice.

Just set the number of top layers to zero.

thx fuchser, a nice option to see the regualar infill if i understand you right. but is there a possibility that the object is normaly closed by toplayers and only the last toplayer is for example a honeycomb pattern or loadable stamp pattern. would be a nice finish vor technical parts with flat toplayer surfaces.
RE: Infill pattern as toplayer pattern
you mean somthing like this?
in the ''Plater'' 3D editor view/preview on the right side, right click on your .stl name.
''Heiht range Modifier'' adjust where it Starts and Stops. (example: 10mm model : 9.80 - 10.00 layerheight 0,2mm)
right click on the Range like you did befor with the name and ''Layers and Perimeters'' + ''Infill''
below you can adjust now the infill something like 50% honeycomb + Top solid layers 0
you will lose one solid top layer so maybe adjust it in the printer settings if needed

@chrisb — didn't see your message earlier but @xiii showed the most straightforward way to accomplish what you have in mind.

RE: Infill pattern as toplayer pattern
looks like ''stamps'' can be made almost the same way. i used a cube 20x20x20mm and a test stamp 0.2mm height. print settings: layer height 0.2mm
right click on the cube-> ''Add negative volume'' -> ''Load'' -> choose the stamp.STL and open
left click on the stamp.STL(on the right side) and adjust the Z-Position to 9.90mm(1layer) or 9.80mm(2layers)
OR if you want the stamp filled with 50% honeycombe it would be :
right click on the cube-> ''Add Part'' -> ''Load'' -> choose the stamp.STL and open
left click on the stamp.STL(on the right side) and adjust the Z-Position to 9.90mm(1layer) or 9.80mm(2layers)
right click on the stamp.STL(on the right side) and pick ''Layers and Perimeters'' + ''Infill''
set bottom solid layers, top solid layers and perimeters to ''0''
infill 50% honeycomb. ''0%'' would be the same like with the''Add negative volume''
