How to print to serial port?
I am trying to upgrade from Matter Control to PrusaSlicer 2.2.0 Final.
I can send gcode to an SD card, but I have not found a way to send prints directly to an attached printer.
Is that supported in PrusaSlicer?

I would also recommend a server solution such as Octoprint or alternatively a Wlan SD card. A direct connection PC-Printer is due to many possible interrupt requests too unstable for printing.
But the topic has been discussed many times in the forum: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-mk3-hardware-firmware-and-software-help/printing-over-usb/

No.

You have to use Octoprint in between. PrusaSlicer can send gcode to OctoPrint server.

Even if you could, it'd be a really bad idea. The PC would be dedicated to streaming GCode to your printer and as Windows (and Linux?) isn't a real time operating system good luck with that.

Statt zu klagen, dass wir nicht alles haben, was wir wollen, sollten wir lieber dankbar sein, dass wir nicht alles bekommen, was wir verdienen.
