Snuff, I tried adding a tube like you did in addition to the generic cylinder I was using in my original project. Thanks for solving  my printing problem. At this point I consider this an opportunity for me and others to learn from you. I can't get the outside support to extend much higher than the height of  the  recess on the bottom of the part even though I copied your print settings related to support material. I read in an earlier post that you scaled the tube to just under the first part of the 90 degree overhang. Not sure exactly what you meant. What did I miss? Also, in an earlier post you mentioned making some changes that decreased the amount of support material. I'm curious about what you did.

I finally got the supports to extend up on the outside of the part. Snuff, earlier  you mentioned  a file with less support material. Would you please post it here. I've been offline due to a minor eyelid surgery but I  can see well enough to use my computer so I'd like  to come full circle and try another round to get less support material, especially  on the outside as long as I still get a clean print. Thanks
